Best places to visit in Quebec!

1. Old Quebec City

If you’re craving cobblestone streets and old European charm and you don’t want to leave North America, than Old Quebec City (and Montreal) is your next destination. Not only are the views and architecture incredible, Old Quebec is a designated UNESCO Heritage Site. It’s the oldest standing colonial city north of Mexico that has remained intact for 400 years. I recommend putting on comfortable walking shoes and strolling the streets inside the walls of the fortified city. You’ll stumble upon cafes, unique shops, European-style restaurants, and the Famous Fairmont Chateau Frontenac Hotel. I also recommend paroussing through Simon’s Department Store for shopping, and visiting the Citadelle of Québec and the Plains of Abraham for steeped history, incredible panoramic views, and military stories.

2. Mont Tremblant

Mont Tremblant is a year-round destination known for its world class skiing, golf courses, wellness spa, shopping, and lake activities. There really is something for everyone during any season. I have only visited Mont Tremblant for ski season, so I can only share my winter experience, I’ve heard that it’s even more beautiful in the summer and fall. If your an avid skier, make this your 2027 ski season spot! Just a note, it does get extremely busy on weekends, so if you can arrange to go during the week, I highly recommend it, or you’ll be waiting for over an hour to get up the first chair.

3. Eastern Townships

Shhhh, I’m going to share a secret, and some of you might be shocked…the Eastern Townships are better than Vermont. There, I said it! Whenever I would think of skiing, fall colours, and mountain views that are within driving distance from Ontario, I would always think of Vermont. Now don’t get me wrong, Vermont IS beautiful, but it has become extremely diluted by social media, which means that it is far busier than it used to be, which means that it is way more expensive too. And as a Canadian, those exchange rates hurt, alot. And then I discovered the secret of the Eastern Townships – you literally get everything you get in Vermont, the views, the adorable villages, fall colours, ski hills, lakes, and the best part of all of it – it’s not busy! It’s quiet, peaceful, and affordable. So this year when you’re looking for a Fall escape or ski vacation, I dare you to look in the areas of Bromont, Sutton, and Owl’s Head – you will be forever changed.

4. Sentiers du Moulin & Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier

In late September of 2025, we rented a tree-house cabin in Sentiers du Moulin area that was perched high in the Laurentian Mountains and backed onto miles of walking and bike trails. It was the perfect Autumn escape – peaceful, active, and close to the town of Lac Beauport, Old Quebec City, and Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier. I recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique accommodation experience, and just take a day trip to the city, and up to the park. Our hike through Jacques-Cartier was about a 2hr loop (L’Eperon Trail), but the elevation does change significantly, with lots of stairs to climb, so plan accordingly. The views are worth it :) Our AirBnB that we stayed in is linked HERE.
