What to do in Northern Ireland
1. Giant’s Causeway
The Giant’s Causeway is one of the most popular tourist spots in Northern Ireland, and for good reason. It’s quite remarkable how the rocks have stacked and formed as a result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. There are 40,000 interlocking basalt columns that span the coast line and disappear into the sea. The rocks are quite a distance from the parking lot so be prepared for a 15 minute walk down to the causeway. Alternatively, there is a shuttle that runs back and fourth for a fee I believe.
